NASPA BE VIGILANT, KWAME OWUSU BAMPOE (HON. KOB) HAS BEEN FULLY EXPOSED. by Reindolf Amankwa

In students activism as in students politics, it is the duty of the activist to investigate, appraise and apprise congress or the student electorate on parading candidates and who should be given the mandate of the people. Activism is not neutrality. It is very necessary and wise for the activist to recommend for the approval or disapproval of the candidature of some persons aspiring to lead especially any union of academia (e.g National Service Personnel Association, NASPA). Stay with me as I journey with you along the lines to identify why or why not Kwame Owusu Bampoe (Hon. KOB), an aspiring Presidential candidate of NASPA-National. Brief Profile of KOB: Kwame Owusu Bampoe, Hon. KOB as we all may have been familiar with, is undoubtedly a dynamic and passionate young leader with a vision of contributing positively to the development of his society. Presently, KOB is the President of NASPA-Ashanti. Aside serving the nation as a service personnel, he has had stints as a Radio Prese

NATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL ASSOCIATION OF THE ATWIMA-NWABIAGYA DISTRICT IN THE ASHANTI REGION DONATES TO THE NKONTENG COMMUNITY.

The National Service Personnel Association(NASPA) of the Atwima-Nwabiagya district in the Ashanti region, on the 14th day of February made a heart touching donation to the Nkonteng community school. The Nkonteng community is a deprived community in the Atwima-Nwabiagya district whose capital is Nkawie. As part of playing a core part in the development of communities in Ghana, these service personnel notwithstanding their meagre amount of service allowances still chose out of goodwill to give back to society both in kind and cash. Speaking with the President of the district in question, who was also the leader of the team of donors, he said "the building of societies to meet modern day development and standards must begin with the haves in those societies willing, ready and able to support the haves to come to the height of that standard." Adding, he mentioned that, "the National Service Personnel of the Atwima-Nwabiagya district whose capital is Nkawie ar

MY DOVE, MY UNDEFILED IS BUT ONE, MAY I NEVER REST UNTIL SHE IS MINE. by Reindolf Amankwa✍

One day as I was cascading down the steep slope that led to the narrow bridge at the bottom of the hill, our eyes met. It looked like a head-on meeting on the bridge. Truly, these could have been the words of Chinua Achebe yet spilled by a young man such as me who could have been sure of meeting love. Noticing her at once, taking off my eyes from this beauty would be dangerous I said. Indeed like all other men of good sight who cherish beauty especially of a woman, I could never have been more dead to her love all at once as I did. For if she continuously stared at me or was looking elsewhere, I could not be more or less concerned. All I wanted was not to lose sight of her. Indeed, she's beautiful. Her two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, and her neck as a tower of ivory. Patiently did I enjoy observing and wanting to enter a trance where I would at once stand with her before the alter of joinery. Inevitably, she's worth being my accomplice in love affairs f

MICHEAL AGYEI MENSAH(NETWORK NUGS PRES ELECT) SAYS ''THANK YOU FOR UR SUPPORT''

Image
From: Michael Agyei Mensah (Network NUGS PRES ELECT) . To: General Student Populace/Well Wishers. Subject: Notice of Appreciation. ➖➖➖➖➖➖ It is with pleasure I write to appreciate the honor, love and mandate given me as NUGS President elect of the University for Development Studies, Wa campus. Indeed, many paraded calling for your mandate but you chose me and so I will forever be grateful. I also use this opportunity to call on all of the students' society to join hands with me so that, given the legality to serve, we shall all work together as one. I entreat my colleague aspirants especially of those who were with me in the NUGS Presidential race not to sit back and watch me to work when the time is due but to come in love to help the NUGS succeed. If any of them had won, they would have expected same treat from me which I would have found an honor working with them. Our bond must necessarily transcend beyond politics to championing our own welfare as stude

THE ILLUSIONS OF YESTERDAY, A LIFE PALSY-WALSY. by Selina Cofie✍🏾

A reflection over our yesterday gives us a picture of a world of perfection where everyone got along and anyone could do and be anything. Our thoughts seemed to us that, what we visualised is what reality became and the easiest way to live life was what we presumed it to be. Growing up we found out that real life is a little more complicated. Maybe, we could describe our yesterday's illusions as a life palsy-walsy. Indeed, it was a life which seemed very friendly in a way but to the end we realised it is not an exhibition of sincerity. Real life is muddy, full of disappointments and betrayals. A life where men do not get what they want until there is a struggle. On the journey of this struggle we encounter series of knocking downs which include but not limited to mistakes being made, disappointments from people we thought were our rocks of help, frustrations and demoralizing acts from friends alike. All these were never part of our thoughts of yesterday up until

He stated, "the Lordship of Jesus Christ should not be misrepresented or misinterpreted as to mean the Lord of a Justice." Throwing more light, he explained that, the authority and power of Jesus Christ supersedes any other authority and power that operates both on earth and in the heavens noti

THE ONLY WAY MICHEAL AGYEI MENSAH (NETWORK) WILL NOT WIN AS NUGS PRESIDENT-YOU ARE A FACTOR By Reindolf Amankwa

Image
My analysis of the candidates who in times past had the opportunity to see a runoff race in our usual SRC/NUGS elections in UDS Wa campus but couldn't make the mark of victory though they took lead in the first polls is mainly the reason to which this short but insightful piece is written. However, this piece shall highlight on just Michael Agyei Mensah (Network), the favorite NUGS aspirant who by love of the people took a greater lead in the first polls. If Network doesn't win today as NUGS President, then, it will depend on that same factor which has by history been the very cause of other same aspirants who took lead at first polls. Lest I forget to mention that one Nicholas Amoah/Naa Braimah Lambert and another Mohammed Jarah/Solomon Nartey could break this obstacle. Notwithstanding, historical facts may repeat itself this year and may take trend again in the future ahead. In the past, the aspirants who took lead couldn't win at runoff because their supporters refused

THE MYSTICISM AND DYNAMICS OF LOVE--By Selina Cofie

Image
The pinning down of a definition for love by the wisest of Philosophers and the learned of Psychologists seem to prove futile. I have neither seen nor heard a 'perfect' definition for love. Love is one of the most wonderful feelings one can ever experience, a social construct which is and can only be defined by two or more people by way of their interactions. To love and desire to be loved are the basic human traits and necessities of life. Throughout life, everyone is either directly or indirectly in search of love which needs to be fulfilled. The fulfillment of other life desires is but a concomitant display of the love searched and found. The intertwining of love and lust, thinking of lust as love is a misconception we must seek to erase. “Though the butterfly and the bird claim oneness because they both have wings, the butterfly is a butterfly and the bird a bird”. Lust is explained as having strong sexual desire for someone. In many of today’s relationships, lo
